Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how avoCall ("avoCall," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you use our websites, mobile apps, customer support channels, and related calling, messaging, voicemail, and account services.
This policy is meant to describe what we actually do today. It applies to information you provide directly, information created when you use the service, and information collected by our service providers acting on our behalf. avoCall is operated by Avo LLC from Sheridan, Wyoming, United States.
Information We Collect
Account and identity information
When you create or use an avoCall account, we may collect your phone number, email address, one-time passcode verification details, account profile details, assigned avoCall number, customer support communications, and any information you submit when requesting account help or fraud review.
Calling, messaging, and voicemail data
To provide the service, we collect service metadata such as the numbers involved in a call or message, timestamps, destination country, duration, delivery and connection status, pricing and billing details, and voicemail or greeting files you choose to store through the product. We do not state that call audio is recorded unless a feature clearly asks you to create or upload an audio file such as voicemail or a greeting.
Contacts and address book data
If you grant permission to access your contacts or choose an import flow, we may process selected contact names and phone numbers so you can import contacts, sync them across your account, display caller names, and make it easier to place or manage calls and messages. We do not require contact access to use the core service.
Device, network, and security information
We collect information such as IP address, device identifiers, app version, operating system, device model, language, approximate location inferred from IP, network type, crash information, abuse and fraud signals, and similar technical data. We may also generate device fingerprint or integrity signals to help detect abuse, spam, account farming, payment fraud, or other misuse.
Analytics, diagnostics, and advertising data
We and our vendors may collect product analytics, attribution, diagnostics, crash reports, referral data, cookie data, and ad-performance data. This may include events such as screen views, feature interactions, session start and stop times, campaign or referral source, approximate geography, and whether an ad was shown or clicked. Where enabled, we may also use diagnostic replay or similar product-observation tools to understand app behavior. Sensitive inputs should be masked where those tools are used.
Payments and verification
If you purchase a subscription, credits, or other paid features, payment processors and app-store platforms may collect billing and transaction data. We receive the transaction information needed to provide the purchase, reconcile billing, handle support, and comply with accounting and legal obligations. If enhanced identity verification is required for fraud or carrier compliance, verification vendors may process government ID or selfie data on our behalf.
How We Use Information
- To create, secure, and maintain your account.
- To route calls and messages, deliver voicemails, and provide customer support.
- To process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, fraud checks, and charge disputes.
- To personalize the app experience, including contact display and service settings.
- To measure product usage, troubleshoot bugs, monitor performance, and improve the service.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, spam, fraud, account farming, and illegal activity.
- To operate marketing, referral, attribution, and advertising programs, including ad-supported tiers.
- To comply with carrier rules, telecom requirements, tax and accounting duties, and lawful requests.
Cookies, Web Tracking, and Referral Data
On our website and web flows, we may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember referral codes, understand traffic and campaign performance, prevent abuse, and support advertising and analytics. Some of these technologies are operated by our service providers.
If your browser or device allows it, you can limit certain cookie behavior. Some website features may not work correctly without required cookies or similar technologies.
When We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the service, protect the business, or comply with law. Categories of recipients may include:
- Telecom carriers, routing providers, and communications infrastructure partners.
- Cloud hosting, messaging, storage, and customer-support vendors.
- Analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, experimentation, and diagnostic vendors.
- Advertising and measurement partners for free or ad-supported experiences.
- App stores, payment processors, tax, fraud, identity, and compliance vendors.
- Professional advisers, auditors, regulators, law enforcement, or courts where required.
- Buyers, investors, or affiliates in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or asset sale.
We do not say we "sell" personal information for cash to data brokers. That said, some ad or measurement activities may be treated as a form of sharing under certain privacy laws, and users can contact us about applicable rights.
Advertising, Analytics Providers, and Attribution
avoCall may use third-party providers for analytics, diagnostics, ad measurement, marketing attribution, and user communications. Depending on the product surface and platform, these providers may include app-store analytics, Firebase services, PostHog, advertising networks, referral and campaign attribution tools, email or support platforms, and similar service providers.
Free or ad-supported product experiences may display ads. Premium or paid subscriptions may remove some or all ads, but they do not necessarily disable all analytics, security monitoring, or operational messaging.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including service delivery, support, security, accounting, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by data category.
- Account and profile data: generally while your account is active and for a limited period after closure.
- Call, message, billing, and support records: retained as needed for service delivery, disputes, fraud review, and legal requirements.
- Crash, analytics, ad, and attribution data: retained according to operational needs and vendor retention settings.
- Identity and compliance records: retained for anti-fraud, carrier compliance, legal defense, and regulatory obligations.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, object to, or opt out of certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to appeal a denial of your request.
You may also have device-level or browser-level controls for notifications, contacts permissions, analytics identifiers, cookies, and ad preferences.
To submit a privacy request, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
International Transfers
We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information during cross-border transfers.
Children's Privacy
avoCall is not directed to children under 13, and in some jurisdictions under 16, without appropriate consent. If you believe a child provided us personal information in violation of this policy, contact us and we will investigate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we may update the date above and provide additional notice where appropriate.
